Platform Software Engineer

Quantum-Art is an early-growth full-stack quantum computing company developing state-of-the-art quantum computing systems based on trapped-ion technology, encompassing both hardware and software.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to take a central role in building and operating infrastructure and automation for hardware-integrated systems. This position is suited for engineers who want to work across software, infrastructure, and hardware, and be involved in system-level design and execution.

Job description

Design, build, and maintain software infrastructure supporting hardware-integrated systems
Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for development, testing, and hardware-in-the-loop workflows
Build robust Python-based automation frameworks for controlling, testing, and validating hardware systems
Manage and evolve cloud (AWS) and on-prem / lab environments
Support automated testing pipelines that integrate software with physical hardware
Ensure system reliability, monitoring, backups, access control, and security
Work closely with software, hardware, and R&D teams on system-level solutions

Requirements and skills

Qualifications

Solid engineering background with hands-on experience in software development
Experience in DevOps, automation, platform engineering, or a strong interest in transitioning into these areas
Strong Python skills for automation and infrastructure tooling
Experience with CI/CD systems and development workflows
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
Experience working with Linux-based systems
Comfort working with complex systems that include both software and hardware
High motivation, independence, and strong self-learning abilities
